Books for Breakfast #10

Book Reviews

The reads this time were:
The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson
Mr. Penumbra’s 24 hour bookstore by Robin Sloan
I really enjoyed The Psychopath Test! I’ve never read any by Jon Ronson before (though now I do want to read The Men who Stare at Goats) but this was a good starting book I’d say. It’s an interesting book that looks at how we define psychopaths, where they are, and how diagnosing such mental disorders have changed over the years. I find psychology really interesting, so this was a fun read for me!!

Oh my dear goodness. Let me tell you about Mr. Penumbra’s 24-hour Bookstore. It was pure gold. I loved it, absolutely loved it to death. That is the kind of life I want to live right there. The story was wonderfully told, the subject matter was just outrageous enough without crossing boundaries, and gosh it was just all around one of the most fun reads I’ve had in a while. I was smiling the whole time, just giddy while reading it!! If you like bookstores, puzzles, adventure, and a technology then really. Please. Read this book!!

Next on the list is: David and Goliath & Haunted!
