The Bookworm Does: Go Karting + Mini Golf

Life, Local Flavor

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is mini golf, and I’m pretty competitive with it as well! We had to drive for a bit (an hour) to get to this place, but I had a Groupon, and well, you can’t compete with that! The downside though….when we got there it was FULL of small children there for a private party! So we couldn’t go-kart until they left. That meant we had to mini golf first!

The course was pretty fun and nicely laid out as well. Granted, there were children running all around…I mean really. They would smack their multi-colored golf balls ACROSS THE ENTIRE COURSE! Then run all willy nilly across holes without regard for anybody else there. Goodness, do these children know anything about manners? Gosh.

We were thankfully far enough behind the giant groups of rowdy children (read: young boys) that we only caught up to them once, and it was in time to watch the one kid hit his ball all the way to another hole…up a hill, over a net, and through bushes.
Then we also got to witness a little girl just casually stroll across a hole, down the middle, WHILE PEOPLE WERE PLAYING IT!! Avoid mini golf courses when there is a private party. You have been warned.

Of course I won. But as you notice, it was a pretty close game there until the end! I hope he didn’t loose on purpose…..

Then we got to go-kart! The boyfriend almost lapped me! Gosh, I don’t know how he did that! I only passed 4 people! It was super fun though!!
