The Nerdy Bookworm

Book Reviews

I normally don’t read much in way of comic books. I stuck more to manga. Then recently, after getting interested in online comics, that lead me to reading some serialized comic books! I started with Adventure Time and the spin off: Fiona and Cake. I live right by a big comic book shop, that also sells manga, and other knick-naks.
Online I found out about Lumberjanes and Bee & Puppycat. There style is similar to that of Adventure Time and I love these types of stories. The heroines are all really awesome too! If you aren’t a fan of traditional super hero comics, I’d recommend checking out these!

I’m also interested in checking out Bravest Warriors! Every time I go in to the comic store I find titles that I’ve love to check out!

  • Bee & Puppycat is one I want to check out!

I would adore to live next to a comic shop! That's one of the only downsides to living in the semi-country haha. Nothing much around. Luckily we have a little comic shop that's only about 25 minutes away!

  • They look so cute and wonderful!! I always wanted to get into comics, but I've never seen a comic store near where I live. 🙁 Online shopping it is!

  • I've got Lumberjanes on order from my local store and it cannot get here soon enough!

  • It's so cute! Have you watched the few episodes of the show on youtube?

  • It's pretty sweet! They also run a game shop across the street from the comic book shop, where they have some AWESOME board games!

  • You can find great deals online! 😀 and some of the coolest comics are online only! (Like Ava's Demon or Monster Pop!)

  • It's so much fun!! I love it!

    That's so fabulous!!

  • Bravest Warriors is so good! It's one of my favorites, along with Adventure Time. I haven't checked out Bee & Puppycat yet, but now I definitely want to. I tend to read a lot of noir/horror/indie comics aside from that.
