Sketchbook Diaries #8

It’s been a while since the last sketchbook diaries. I’ve decided that I’m going to do one a month, so I can focus on other posts. (and book reviews!) I haven’t been sketching as much as I used to, so I’m sharing some images from my older sketchbooks today! I need to get back in the grove and start doing sketching on paper instead of just digital illustrations, which I’ve been doing more of recently.

If I can’t make a good face, I normally just draw a stupid, silly face and call it a day. Not every drawing will/can come out perfect, so it’s nice to laugh at your mistakes from time to time. A lot of my old sketchbooks are filled with pages full of noses, mouths, and eyeballs. I also included this silly orange drawing that was a rough up for a T-shirt design for a university club that never went through because of lack of funds, but I thought it was really great. I enjoyed drawing it.

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again: Wow! Your sketches are amazing! I love the silly orange!

  • Thank you!

  • Dem booz tho!
I love doodling half faces on stuff 😀

  • hahahaha!! I doodle faces on everything!!

  • I am so envious of your sketchbook skills. I've always wanted to be able to do this but I'm just not that artistic.

  • Most of my pages look terrible! I always get frustrated and scratch out things I don't like! It takes a lot of daily work to be artistic!
