It’s time again for another Sponsor Spotlight!! Wahoo! This time I’m featuring the lovely Jessica (our names are the same!!) who runs the Etsy shop Honeybee Alley
! Which makes beautiful handmade jewelry and some of it is nickel free! Which means I can wear it, which is totally awesome!!
1. Tell us a little about yourself and your shop. How did you come up with your shop’s name?
I am a nerdy artist living in Seattle. I came up with my shop’s name because I love bug stuff and also my last name is Beebe, so a bee seemed like a good fit. My jewelry is all about contrast so I thought a gritty alley would be a good contrast to a cute little honeybee. And Honeybee Alley rolls off the tongue really nicely.
2. What is your favorite piece of jewelry to wear?
My favorite piece of jewelry to wear is definitely necklaces and usually my favorite necklace to wear is whichever one I made the most recently.
3. What is your favorite medium (art-wise) to work in/with?
y favorite artistic medium is probably collages, the kind where you cut up magazines. They’re great for expressing things or just getting ideas together.
4. What’s your favorite cold weather drink?
My favorite cold weather drink is a chai tea latte.
5. If you could vacation anywhere right now, where would you go?
If I could vacation anywhere right now I would go to the beach, any beach in Oregon where it won’t be too crowded because it’s the offseason and I could go on long walks and pick up pretty shells and driftwood.
6. Do you have a favorite item in your shop?
7. Since I’m a book lover, I have to ask what your favorite book is!
My favorite book is either Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz or State of Fear by Michael Crichton.
All my readers! If you have a blog or small business you can advertise on my sidebar! I pin images, tweet about you, and if you have a shop, I love to feature things on my blog! Since I’m out of the country for the month of January, I’m having a sale on my one paid ad spot! If you use the code: OUTOFTOWN you can get 60% off my Novel ad spot! This code will only work until February 1st though (which is when I return to the country) so if you want to secure a spot, better do it fast!
