Bookworm Style #10 – Cats & Bees Oh My!

It’s been a while since I posted an outfit post, mainly since I haven’t been in the country for the entire month of January. Well, now I’m back…and I have new clothes to show off! I guess I haven’t mastered the art of the humblebrag yet, but I’m just excited about the things I picked up that I can’t help it! Let’s start this off with a funny story about the scarf/poncho that I am wearing in this outfit!

I found it at a shopping street/arcade in Kyoto, Japan. It was hanging on a hanger outside of an accessory shop that was filled with adorable bows and such things. I pointed it out to Sarah as we walked past it: “Oh! Sarah! Look at that kitty scarf, it’s adorable!” She agreed and then we walked past the store and I came to a halt, looking over my shoulder. Then I looked back at her. “You’re going to go back there and get it, aren’t you?” She asked and of course, I spun around right there and walked back to the shop, grabbed the scarf and walked right to the register.
I almost walked right past it, but I just couldn’t! And that, my friends, is the story of how I almost couldn’t close my suitcase and had to wear five layers (which didn’t match) to the airport on the way back to Korea. Needless to say, I do not regret any of my purchases! I love them all!

I’ll feature this bracelet in a different outfit post, but look at these kitty faces on this! They are ADORABLE and they have little top hats on! Ah!
Alex takes pictures continuously as I’m preparing myself to pose so I get a lot of these funny faces in my camera roll. This one was so great that I had to post it though. There is a picture with the same pose with a normal expression where I’m looking away in that “Look at me ignoring the camera like a fashionista” but I decided this expression was more, well, “me”.

I wanted to talk about this little purchase last month, but I couldn’t! So instead, I’m going to talk about this now! I got this adorable yellow bee bracelet last month from the lovely Jessica of Honeybee Alley she has an adorable little store on Etsy and she even gave me the little flower ring for free with my purchase! That was so nice of her! She’s so lovely! Check her out! As you can see, yellow is clearly my favorite color ever, as demonstrated below as my wallet is yellow and my phone case is also now yellow. (I also drive a yellow Jeep and my bedroom walls are painted bright yellow) YELLOW!
