Is it spring yet?

Blogging, Life

March is here!! But…it doesn’t really feel like spring! Bah! With snow still in the forecasts up here in the north, it still feels like the dead the winter! Double Bah! The first two months of the year have flown by and it’s freaking me out! Time seems to be moving so fast without me even realizing it! Alex will be graduating soon from grad school and then things are going to get real, with jobs and what not! Freaky! We grow up so fast!
I’ve been blogging for over a year now and I’ve been thinking that it’s about time I consulted you, my readers, about some possible new post series/things I want to try out going forward, so if you wouldn’t mind….could you take my reader survey? It’s a quick seven questions long and shouldn’t take up much time at all! Even if you’re a new reader, I care about your opinions! (Click the link below or above to take it!!)
I look forward to reading everyone’s responses! Thank you!
In other March news, I suppose I should share my to-read list for the month! I’ve been slacking a bit in my reading recently, or at least, that’s how it feels to me! Let’s see, the five books that I’d like to complete this month are:
Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules Edited by David Sedaris (a short story collection)
Quiet by Susan Cain  (The Novel Tea book club book of March!)
American Gods by Neil Gaiman (suggested to me first by a coworker and then suggested multiple other times to me)
This is what You Just Put in Your Mouth? by Patrick Di Justo (Blogging for Books)
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn (Picked up on a whim at half priced books)
I hope everyone has a fun March ahead of them! Do you have any fun/exciting plans for the month?

A bookworm since the tender age of whenever I stopped chewing on books and started actually reading them. A cat-mom, graphic designer, and introvert originally from Pittsburgh, but now resides in the humid, hot, state of Texas. Cheers!

  • It's March but it doesn't look like Spring! So over the winter.

  • Kay

YES American Gods! It's wonderful! And I'm only 25 pages into Quiet but I'm already finding it fascinating. Very happy it's March's pick!

  • I am soon over winter too! It's still snowing here! Argh!

  • I'm waiting for Quiet to come in the mail but I'm excited to start it! I'm a total introvert, so I hope that I find solace in this book haha!

  • Those look like great books! I used to try to list out what I wanted to read each month, but the disappointment of not doing it or just reading entirely different books made me give up trying to guess. However, sometimes I do wish that I had a plan! Can't wait to hear what you think of them!

Done 🙂 I hope spring shows up about this month. I want, I need to see some flowers in bloom, I want to go to my garden and plant, and grow. 🙂

  • Done! 🙂

  • I am so impressed with how much you read – how many hours do you read a day to go through all those books? Taking your reader survey right now 🙂 March means spring break for me so I'm excited – too bad I'm not headed somewhere warm! Pennsylvania is just too cold right now 🙁

  • I also always end up a bit disappointed if I don't read everything I planned, or if I read something else. But at the same time I like having the list there, and I line up my to-read shelf in order of what I want to read, so that helps!

  • Thank you! I want to see some flowers soon too! I might have to take a day trip to the green house near me and look at their flowers!

  • Thank you!! 🙂

  • Oh goodness, I don't even know! It really depends on how into a book I get! One time back in high school I timed myself to see how long it took me to read five pages, but I haven't done that since….maybe I'll have to do that again! PA is way too cold right now! D: It stinks!!

  • Wait how did I not go to you as my source for books sooner?! I'm always looking for new books to read so please send any you might recommend my way. Or I'll probably just stalk your blog too & pin the books I like to my bookworm board on Pinterest :]

  • I've been struggling to get 2-3 books read each month! lol. These migraines and my 2 year old make it hard to find time….and my Netflix problem doesn't help matters either. lol
