Choose a Book for the Bookworm!

Blogging, Book Reviews

After reviewing the reader survey results, of which I received more feedback than I bargained for (yay!!), I’ve worked on some changes to the blog!

The first is, by popular demand (83%) wanted a series where I reviewed books picked by readers! I was actually really excited by this idea, which was first suggested to me by my boyfriend after I pestered him for new series ideas for the blog. Ain’t he so smart? Anyways, so I took the books suggested from the survey…well, some of them! Some I had already read (Inkheart & Ender’s Game) and one was suggested one than once (A Darker Shade of Magic). If someone suggested two or more books or an author in general, I only picked one book out of the listed ones, or else this poll would be way too long!!

Vote below for the book you’d like to see me read!

(function () {
var opst = document.createElement(‘script’);
var os_host = document.location.protocol == “https:” ? “https:” : “http:”;
opst.type = ‘text/javascript’;
opst.async = true;
opst.src = os_host + ‘//’ + ‘’;
(document.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0] ||

I can’t wait to see what you guys pick for me to read! All of these seem like awesome books (I checked them out on Goodreads before adding them) After one week, I’ll check the votes and then I’ll get my hands on the winning book, read it, and review it! I’m actually super excited about this!!! I get so many book suggestions, but this is a great way to really read what people are hyped about!

Also!! In the comments suggest books that you’d like to see on the poll next time! I’m going to try and do two of these books a month, if possible! I don’t know if I can manage two in March, but in April I’ll try my hardest!

Other changes that I’ll be implementing are as follows!

1. Fictional Friday’s will be held every other week from now on! It’ll still be a linkup, so don’t worry, it’ll just be open for linking up for two weeks now!

2. I’m going to try to do outfit posts every week from now on as well! (I’m sorry to the one person who didn’t like outfit posts, but a lot more people voted it highly!)

3.  Gaming and Cosplay posts ranked just below the reader picked book posts, so I’ll be adding a cosplay feature each month of one of my past costumes! Alex and I also have some plans involving gaming that might come up in the future! (Hint: Final Fantasy X, the remaster comes out in May!)

4. I’m going to try to make Sponsor Spotlight more fun!

A big “THANK YOU!!” for everyone who took the reader survey! I’m really glad I decided to put one up, I needed some fresh perspective on my ideas! Thank you again!!

    I can't remember if you've read Lamb by Christopher Moore, but if you haven't I highly recommend it! Also, The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch, one of my all time favorite books.

    Yay!! I've met so few people who have read that series, and it's always nice to find more fans! It's one of my favorites; the magic system is just so unique and wonderful. Have you read The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch? I highly recommend it if not – really great!

  • So excited to see more outfit posts – you have such a cute sense of style! I didn't vote because I haven't heard of any of these books…so I'm excited as well to have you review them. Maybe I'll find a few to add to my summer reading list!
