Books for Breakfast #76

Book Reviews

This time I read:
Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
The End by Lemony Snicket

I absolutely LOVED this story to death!! I really enjoy reading Lumberjanes, so I was excited to read something else by Stevenson! This comic certainly didn’t disappoint either! Nimona was such an exciting character and she was so adorable! I loved the storyline and the other characters were great as well!

Nimona is centered around a girl who is a shapeshifter and she teams up with the cities “evil villain” to expose the secrets of the council that runs the city. All the characters have interesting pasts and their personal stories are wonderful. It’s a short read, but still full of emotions. If you haven’t heard of this, I suggest picking it up!!

So I recently realized that I had read every book in this series expect for the last book, crazy or what? I guess I totally forgot about it! Well, I finally picked it up, wikipediaed the previous books to jog my memory, and set out reading the last book!
I forgot how interesting Snicket writes, it’s such an cool style. Of course, it still in a young reader book, so it did seem a little silly to be reading it at age 24, but I still enjoyed it none the less! This book concludes the adventures of the Baudelaire siblings to a close. It was a satisfying ending, in my opinion. They went through a lot of hardships and in the end they finally shed some light on the secret lives of their parents.
They become free to follow their own paths at last. It was a nice ending to the 13 book series!
Next on my list is:
Ms. Marvel vol. 2 & The Martian
