Perfectionism is a Dangerous Thing

Life

Wow. Oh Wow. Wow. Wow. I don’t even want to think about, or mention really, how long I’ve been gone. You’ve probably all forgotten about me, I know I would have, seriously.

Well, I’ve been tinkering this whole time, trying to go through old posts, trying to make sure I liked the logo just right, and generally wondering how to actually write this first post after my absence….which, unsurprisingly, continued to get more and more complicated as time went on. I suppose perfectionism in that way can be extremely damaging. Not finishing things because I’m not happy with them is something that happens all the time actually. Meagan (Fiction Incarnate) mentioned that recently and kicked my butt into gear!

Anyways, I figured that I’ll talk a bit about what to expect with my return! I’m working towards a 3 day a week posting schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I don’t want to ramble on for days about stuff that I’m not quite passionate about just to fill the pages. I’ve also, as you may have noticed, underwent a name change to: Bookworm by Design, which was suggested to me by Meagan! (She’s an actual goddess I tell you) I wanted to name of my blog to more reflect myself and now it does: I’m a bookworm by design!

It took a lot of planning to move away from the Bookworms in Dresses name, but I thought up that name way back in college when I wanted to start a fashion blog with friends, which wasn’t what my blog turned out to be. Turns out it’s hard to run a fashion blog when you normally wear jeans and black shirts all the time. Who knew?

So as for the posts: Be prepared for book reviews (duh!), life advice, designs, and the odd lifestyle posts! Sorry for the wait everyone, I hope you haven’t given up on me quite yet!
